Echain Token
Smart Contract Audit Report
Audit Summary
Echain Token ($ECT) is the native utility token of the Echain network. $ECT will be used to pay the transaction fees or any service directly related to the on-chain activity.
For this audit, we reviewed the project team's LiquidityGeneratorToken contract at 0xda4Dd9586D27202A338843Dd6B9824d267006783 on the Ethereum Mainnet.
Audit Findings
Informational findings were identified and the team may want to review them. In addition, centralized aspects are present.
Date: October 31st, 2022.Finding #1 - LiquidityGeneratorToken - Informational
Description: The automatic liquidity add functionality in the _transfer() function checks theswapAndLiquifyEnabled
boolean value, however this state variable is set to true upon deployment and cannot be modified.
Recommendation: The team should either add a setter function that togglesfunction _transfer( ... if ( overMinTokenBalance && !inSwapAndLiquify && from != uniswapV2Pair && swapAndLiquifyEnabled ) { contractTokenBalance = numTokensSellToAddToLiquidity; swapAndLiquify(contractTokenBalance); }
swapAndLiquifyEnabled
or remove theswapAndLiquifyEnabled
check in the _transfer() function.
Finding #2 - LiquidityGeneratorToken - Informational
Description: Although the SafeMath library is utilized, the contract is deployed with Solidity v0.8.4 which has built-in overflow/underflow checks.
Recommendation: SafeMath could be safely removed to reduce contract size, deployment costs, and gas costs on all transactions that utilize it.
Contract Overview
Ownership Controls:
- The total supply of the token is set to 300 million $ECT [300,000,000].
- No mint or burn functions are present; though the circulating supply can be reduced by sending tokens to the 0x..dead address if desired.
- At the time of writing this report, 74.92% of the total supply is stored in a PinkSale token locking contract.
- The remaining 25.1% of the total supply belongs to an unverified contract.
- There is a Tax fee, Liquidity fee, and Charity fee on all transfers where neither the sender nor the recipient is excluded from fees.
- The tokens collected through the Tax fee are removed from the circulating supply; This serves as a frictionless fee redistribution that automatically benefits all token holders at the time of each transaction.
- The team should ensure that all Pair addresses are excluded from rewards to prevent theft-of-liquidity attacks.
- The tokens collected through the Liquidity fee are stored in the contract address. The tokens are swapped for ETH for the purpose of funding Uniswap liquidity when the following conditions are met:
- The threshold number of tokens (determined by the owner) in the contract address has been reached.
- The contract is not currently performing an automatic liquidity add.
- The caller is not initiating a buy transaction via Uniswap.
- Liquidity-adds are automatically performed by selling the tokens collected as fees, pairing the received ETH with the token, and adding it as liquidity to the ETH pair.
- The LP tokens received through this process are sent to the 0x..dead address.
- The tokens collected from the Charity fee are sent to the team's Charity wallet.
- As the contract is deployed with Solidity v0.8.4, it is protected from overflows/underflows.
- The contract complies with the ERC-20 token standard.
- The owner can modify the Tax fee, Liquidity fee, and Charity fee to any percentages as long as the total combined fee percentage does not exceed 25%.
- The owner can exclude accounts from transfer fees.
- The owner can exclude and include accounts from reward distribution.
- The owner can set the threshold number of tokens that triggers automatic liquidity adds to any value greater than 150,000 at any time.

What is a SourceHat Audit?
Typically, a smart contract audit is a comprehensive review process designed to discover logical errors, security vulnerabilities, and optimization opportunities within code. A SourceHat Audit takes this a step further by verifying economic logic to ensure the stability of smart contracts and highlighting privileged functionality to create a report that is easy to understand for developers and community members alike.
How Do I Interpret the Findings?
Each of our Findings will be labeled with a Severity level. We always recommend the team resolve High, Medium, and Low severity findings prior to deploying the code to the mainnet. Here is a breakdown on what each Severity level means for the project:
- High severity indicates that the issue puts a large number of users' funds at risk and has a high probability of exploitation, or the smart contract contains serious logical issues which can prevent the code from operating as intended.
- Medium severity issues are those which place at least some users' funds at risk and has a medium to high probability of exploitation.
- Low severity issues have a relatively minor risk association; these issues have a low probability of occurring or may have a minimal impact.
- Informational issues pose no immediate risk, but inform the project team of opportunities for gas optimizations and following smart contract security best practices.
